Farewell to an Icon

How can you shed a tear for a man you never met...Becaue that person fundamentally changed the way I think and interact with my business and my family everyday.  He was truly an inspiraion.  My love affair with Apple began in 1985; My parents purchased an Apple IIC for me for Christmas.

I learned to write very simple BASIC programs and play games, and run a Lemonade Stand.

In my school days I did homework, wrote papers, printed birthday cards and made my own stationery.  Later in life I listend to and watched podasts on my iPods and iPhones, that helped me to learn Photography.  I edited Photos and Movies on my MacPro,  Conducted Business on my iPhone, kept in contact with my parents on MacBooks when I moved away from home.

Now I read bedtime stories to my kids on my iPad.

Steve Jobs Passed away yesterday at the Age of 56 from Pancreatic Cancer.  He has touched lives an inspired millions of people and his technology and spirit will continue to do so for decades to come.  

Here is one of my favorite Steve Jobs Quotes:

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” (Steve Jobs - June 2005.)
